Approximately 27,000 Genkai azalea trees
At the top of the stairs at AsouBay Park Auto Campground, you will find a total of approximately 27,000 Genkai Azalea trees planted with the cooperation of a volunteer group called the Genkai Azalea Forest Creation Association.
Every year around the end of March, the flowers bloom all at once, creating a landscape that is truly worthy of the term "flower paradise."

When the Genkai azalea flowers are in full bloom, they are lit up around the auto campsite.
The azaleas bathed in light are truly fantastical and are well received by visitors every year.
